Balance Mind and Body

Release Your Inner Well-Being

I have a gift for you!

Learn to feel more affection, acceptance, and authenticity for yourself.

Donna brings a blend of recovery and movement to living on purpose. Her classes combine formal training in yoga, meditation, and communications with everyday experience.

What is the difference between meditation and mindfulness?

Meditation is a state and refers to a formal practice of sitting. Meditation is an intentional practice, where you focus inward to increase emotional balance.

Mindfulness is a trait and is all about being aware. Being mindful is a way of being, you notice and pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, and actions and the affects you have on those around you.

We meditate to begin to develop self-regulation and find ease in the self so we can find balance and stability in life.

Why Meditate?

  • You want to be less reactive
  • You want to feel less stress
  • You want to be more focused
  • You want to improve your relationships with the people around you

Benefits of Meditation.

  • Lessen the aggression
  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Grow self-compassion
  • Cultivate empathy

Meet Donna

I guide yoga because I believe it to be the most effective technique for cultivating resiliency and true wellness.

I am inspired because mindful movements allow me to work with awareness of the body and mind to help alleviate resistance mentally and emotionally.

As a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and a student with Mindful Schools, I continue to study to deepen my knowledge and skills to share with my community.

Find me teaching public classes in St. Louis County and City. I teach to who is in the room, making all of my classes and programs inclusive, accessible, and empowering for a variety of populations.

Resolve to be still. Soften, settle, and wait. This is the commitment. No matter what urges arise in the mind, no matter what sensations arise in the body, we remain still.

Be Still

The body becomes as still as a great mountain unaffected by the weather.

Breathe

Allow the breath to be quiet, unlabored, and gentle.

Remember

The mind slows when we breathe deeply then we can remember the true self.
