Do Something : Sit Challenge
If you answer yes to any of these questions perhaps it is time to do something.
That something is available to you.
Do you wake up anxious?
Is there a low hum of anger, frustration, or overwhelm during most of your day?
Do you feel like you are in a chronic rush mode?
Do you scream at traffic or your loved ones?
Do you binge eat, drink, social media, or Netflix at the end of your day?
Much of life comes at you at full speed and there is no way to slow it down. But there is! Do something, Sit!
When you feel yourself confused, anxious, frustrated, or rushing that is the exact right time to stop. The more energy you give the issue in the moment then the more it grows. As it continues to grow, the thoughts rise and plunge like sitting on a see saw.
The thoughts have a momentum of their own. If you pay attention even for a few moments you may catch glimpses of the insanity and overwhelm. You can influence the experience. Do something, Sit!
Join me. We will sit every day.
There are brief instructions and a guided meditation.
Do you have 20 minutes? Can you make time – just 20 minutes?
Spend time witnessing your thoughts.
Unplug from your to do list.
Learn to have more affection for yourself.
